On April 20th at 2:38 A.M. Ava Sundloff arrived weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz and 20.75 inches.... We are so very lucky to have this little miracle here now and doing very well. We has a very scary and life changing experience during delivery.... I was induced at 7:00 Sunday night and everything was going just like planned...... Little Ava's heart rate kept dropping and as soon as I was a complete I began pushing when Ava's head came the cord was tightly wrapped around her neck so the doctor instantly cut the cord and once the cord is cut they loose all oxygen the doctor then had me push but her shoulder were stuck they call this shoulder dystocia and in many cases is life threatening and most doctors hate to see happen..... The nurse was pushing trying to help get this baby out when she finally came out she was gray and limp they called her a blue rag baby with no heart beat..... Instantly our world was just turned around within seconds they called code trauma and the NICU team consisting of about 9 doctors were in our room administering CPR to our baby girl...... These few minutes of them trying to revive her seemed like hours and I laid there helpless not knowing what was going to happen..... Nate, My Mom, and Nate's Mom were in the room watching over the doctors and by the color and look on there faces I knew things weren't good..... After a few chest compressions and wonderful doctors knowing what they were doing she let out a cry..... I was able to see her for a split second and Nate gave her a blessing and then they left our room and took her down to the NICU to work on her...... They put a few IV'S through her belly button to flush the acid and any infection that she may have and also to keep her sugar levels up.... They ran many tests on her and took a ECO of her heart and everything looks great.... I was able to see her the next day they kept her in the NICU for 36 hours where they kept close watch over her and monitored her every movement.... We are now home and she is doing very well the doctors are very pleased with her progress and can't believe how fast and well she recovered from this..... We are extremely lucky to have this little angel and are very blessed that everything has gone this great with all the trauma that she went through..... Thanks for all the prayer and calls of concern we really appreciate it..... She is very good baby and the kids are very good with her and love her to death.... We just love this little girl and can't get enough of her and love kissing her chubby cheeks... We thank our Heavenly Father for helping us through this and know that we couldn't have done this on our own......
Take a look at all her hair......
What a Great Big Sister........
What a Great Big Brother.......
Dad this is for you there is NO BIG BOW.........
