The Good The Bad The Ugly.....

                  Here is the UGLY.......
                         After some Steriods

Wow life for us the last 8 weeks has been one big major roller coaster and we hope that we are about to the end of it and get back our normal selfs again.....   Things have been really good we have an amazing little family that teaches us so much every day we are so blessed that Ava is doing so good and is a very happy baby.... We also had Kate's 3 year old Birthday, Ava's blessing a few family vacations which all turned out great Thanks to the help of everybody I will post pictures of them when I can.....   Now this is our new test in life....  Kate got really sick and had some major ear infections they gave her a shot of rosefren and put her on augmentin well she seemed to be doing better then Saturday after her birthday party she wasn't feeling that great and spiked a fever of 103 so we took her to kids care they sent us home and told us she had a virus going on....  So on Sunday we had Ava's blessing and Kate just wasn't acting herself again and was still running a fever......  Well on Monday she came down if a full set of welts that covered her entire body every inch on Tuesday they weren't getting any better she had seen two different doctors and they told us it was erythema multiforme a drug reaction to the antibiotic
that night her eyes swelled shut her lips and face were swollen so we took her to primary children's were they started her on steroids to help the body fight the infection..... Needless to say it has been a very long few days with sleepless nights and a very emotional mother but we hope we are on the down hill now she seems to be doing much better and we hope it continues.....

Wow, Suzanne, that is scary! I hate when kids are sick because you don't know at what point you need to take them to the hospital. I hope she is doing better and that you are a little more less stressed

Oh Suzanne I am so sorry to hear that. I am sitting hear thinking of you and the tears have filled my eyes. Poor Kate! I hope you are okay and everything in your world begins to even out. I am so glad that you figured it out and she is better. You guys have had a whirlwind of a few weeks. I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Good thing for a strong momma. By the way ...I do not know if I thanked you enough for the rx. You made my life 50 times better. thanks a ton. I am so sad that we weren't able to be at the blessing or Kate b-day. I am sure they were both amazing. Take care!

Suzanne, I am sorry to hear that about Kate. JoAnn had mentioned that Kate had a rash about the same time Allyson got a rash. I was told that she had a viral infection and was put on steriods. The Dr. didn't tie in the antibiotics. It has been just the last couple of days that she is finally not having to take Benadryl or the steriod. What a good thing to get past! :| Marlo
